Five Officials

In Five Officials, Nyoman Nuarta made a figure of five officials without a face. Only a jacket and tie as a symbol of authority. That body of five officials made with intention as if dissolved and disappeared. Through this work, Nyoman Nuarta try to criticize how the officials doesn’t have an acknowledgment about Pancasila as an ideology of Indonesia. They are often speak about Pancasila, however what they did contrary to Pancasila.

Dalam karya Five Officials, Nyoman Nuarta membuat sosok lima orang pejabat tak berwajah. Hanya jaket dan dasi sebagai simbol otoritas. Tubuh kelima pejabat tersebut dibuat seolah-olah larut dan menghilang. Melalui karya ini, Nyoman Nuarta mengkritisi betapa kosongnya pemahaman para pejabat terhadap ideologi Pancasila. Mereka sering berbicara mengenai Pancasila, akan tetapi tindakan mereka bertentangan dengan Pancasila.
